Privacy Policy

The short version
If you join the waitlist we store your email address. Everything you do in the lessons stays in your own browser and is never sent to us. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we set no cookies.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- Which trade the Trade Match quiz suggested for you, if you took it before signing up. We use the spread of answers to decide which trade to build out first.
- A referral code we generate for you, and the code that referred you, if you arrived through one.
- The date you signed up.
Your learning progress stays on your device
Your XP, streak, rank, quiz result and which lessons you have finished are stored in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data erases them, and we have no copy to restore.
Technical data, when you use the site
- Your IP address, used to rate limit the signup form and to run the anti-bot check on it. It is used for those checks and is not stored alongside your email.
- Page views, collected without cookies and without any cross-site identifier. We can see that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
Cookies
This site currently sets no cookies. Our analytics are cookieless and we run no advertising or tracking pixels. If that ever changes we will update this page first and ask for consent where it is required.
Who else receives your data
We use four service providers. They process data on our instructions and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

| Upstash | Receives your IP address so we can rate limit the signup form and stop it being flooded. |
| Cloudflare | Runs the “are you human” check on the signup form, and receives your IP address and basic browser signals to do it. |
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until the product launches and we have told you about it, or until you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first. Ask and it goes.
Your choices
Email hello@dayonetrades.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You do not need an account to ask, and we will not make you jump through hoops. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
Day One Trades is aimed at people old enough to start an apprenticeship and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting people already on the waitlist will be sent by email.
